G.I. Joe Classified Checkpoint Alpha
With a solid two weeks off work for Christmas, and nothing major planned I needed a project. After spotting the original Checkpoint Alpha in a YouTube video, I took it upon myself to scratch design/build one for the modern 6″ G.I. Joe Classifieds line (a rabbit hole I’ve recently fallen down).
I wont go into too many details, other than this is the culmination of roughly 2 weeks non-stop work and I’m pretty happy with it.
Is it perfect? Heck no. It’s a 3D print after all. There are limitations with a basic Ender 3 (although its the new Ender 3 V3 SE which is quite a nice, basic printer).

Toy photography is something I quiet enjoy, but very very rarely get time to do it (or my bench is such a mess that I can’t!)
The mighty Commodore 128D
A little while ago I picked up a Commodore 128D – not the most common computer around.
However like many out there, it was missing it’s keyboard.
But thanks to the FB Group AusVintage, I found one – but some MONSTER had cut the cable off it.
But we have the technology
With that sorted and happy, I had a running and usable C128D and absolutely fell in love with it.
But there was some small upgrades I wanted to do. So with the help of Mark from The Retro Channel, we got to work

Ooops – I havent updated my poor old website in 6 months!
I managed to get through the #SepTandy collaboration with Adrian, Shelby, and David and it was a GREAT success.

I’m also trying to get back into my Toy Photography, with the purchase of some second hand lights and a new back drop. So far it seems to be going well.
